Introduction

I am currently a senior at Old Dominion University, applying for graduate studies in Latin American history programs across the United States. My interest in Latin America comes from childhood summers in El Salvador, Guatemala and Argentina. This blog will explore Norfolk, Virginia and, in particular, Old Dominion University to contemplate issues pertaining to and from Latin America - including culture, immigration, racism, language, and politics - in the goal of attaining a higher understanding between cultures.
